We have had a wonderful afternoon treat for our very own Stepney Ukulele band, the UkeKids. Another band called 'Mainly Ukulele' joined us for a workshop afternoon, followed by a gig to the whole school and the parents of the UkeKids. With plenty of amazing singing along with some stunning strumming, our school hall resonated with the combined sounds of children and adults. Many thanks to the Mainly Ukes and our very special Stepney friend, Mrs Rice (who used to be our specialist music teacher). The afternoon has inspired us all. The Ukulele has to be the best 'fun' instrument to learn to play.
