While some schools like to take their year 6 classes on a residential visit during the year, we do it slightly differently at Stepney. In the autumn, we take them on a visit to London, including workshops in the Houses of Parliament, then in the summer, after their SATS are out of the way, they head off for an exciting outward bound day. We have been going to Allerthorpe Lakeland Park, near to Pocklington, for many years now. Our pupils have had another brilliant day, kayaking, making and sailing rafts plus enjoying a new aqua assault course. Needless to say, everyone got wet, but it didn't matter as they were all prepared with old clothes and towels a plenty! A great day!
