Clubs & Extra Curricular Activities

The pupils of Stepney Primary School are extremely lucky to have such dedicated staff willing to give up their time to run many fun and popular clubs. Many of the clubs are so popular they have waiting lists and all are regularly attended by eager pupils. The children are able to choose from a wide variety of clubs ranging from football to choir practice. Some clubs run during the dinner break allowing those children who cannot attend after school hours to enjoy the extra curricular activities available.

The clubs give the children an opportunity to try out a variety of different activities they perhaps would not otherwise have the opportunity to do. They also encourage social skills such as team membership and tolerance as well as stretching their imagination and knowledge. The clubs at Stepney are not only beneficial to those attending but to the community as a whole, for those children will display their positive attitudes and tolerant behaviour in the wider community creating a more pleasant environment.

The Stepney Star newsletter lists all the clubs that are being held and their times and dates. If a club is cancelled we inform parents and carers through letters and/or text messages.

On behalf of the children, parents and community, a big thank you to all the staff who give up their time to run the very successful clubs.
